The OER Handbook is a beginners guide meant to introduce educators to Open Education Resources, or OER for short. Simply defined, OER are educational materials (e.g. text, movies, and pictures). The book was primarily written by myself on the website
WikiEducator, with some contributions from others. I compiled information from various sources throughout the internet. Professor David Wiley (Brigham Young University) was editor. Layout was done by a graphic designer. This project demonstrates an ability to manage an international team of contributors, to research, and see a complex project through to completion. The book has been referenced on several websites, including
Creative Commons, elearnspace, and is being used in
workshops. The book is available on the print on demand service Lulu. The
color version is $98.95, and the
black and white is $19.99.
