This project was done for Carrie Schafer, an Art major at Utah State University. The portfolio is a collection of her best artwork and contains short commentary on each piece. To create this portfolio, I scanned and cropped images of Carrie's artwork. Using Photoshop, I adjusted the brightness and contrast for optimal appearance. The background found on the commentary pages was done in Adobe Illustrator. This project taught me a lot about InDesign and the logistics of scanning images. The client was very happy with final product and considers it an accurate representation of her work.
The Elildil catalog was a project for a document design class. Elildil is a fictional New Age company selling candles, clothing, and jewelry. My primary responsibility was to create the background for the product description pages and creating the company president's message. In addition, I assisted with finding product graphics and determining the look of the front and back covers. The layout was done in InDesign and the graphics were created in Photoshop.
